As a long-time partner, PlanetObserver has been providing us with quality data for many projects over the years. Now they will contribute to improve VirtualGeo Studio work environment with high quality global datasets such as PlanetSAT15 and PlanetDEM.
PlanetSAT 15 is an unique global imagery base map with a 15-meters resolution upgraded with cloudless data and up-to-date satellite imagery. PlanetDEM 30 plus is a new generation of global and seamless Digital Elevation Model at a 30 meters resolution.
PlanetSAT 15 global imagery base map is now largely updated with the new generation of medium resolution satellite imagery thanks to Landsat 8 satellite launched in February 2013.
In the latest V5.0 release, VirtualGeo now replaces the base low resolution imagery (used by default) with Landsat8 data! It provides users a quick overview of the dataset at a very coarse resolution (1km).
