VirtualGeo Studio is an open, powerful and easy-to-use tool for assembling, editing geo-referenced interactive 3D environments. It enables easy puzzling of any piece of data for anyone needing to constitute an interactive, representative and multi-resolution 2D/3D mock-up from geo-referenced data.

Customers use VirtualGeo Studio and gain the following:

Built for high performance access to native Geospatial data

VirtualGeo Studio enables users to add their own GIS data from various geographic locations and most commonly-used raster and vector GIS formats. Thanks to modern rendering techniques, native support of data formats and on the fly re-projection avoids any unnecessary pre-processing and alteration of data.
Users can load all of their data as fast as a simple drag and drop operation into a single project and use the intuitive map window to view all of their data across the globe.
OGC standards compliancy allows draping any data source containing 2D, vector, or raster image over any elevation model. VirtualGeo Studio gives you access to infinity of databases over Internet.

Setup, manage and visualize data

Creating advanced 3D graphics from GIS data with VirtualGeo Studio is an easy task. VirtualGeo interface was designed to be clear and easy to use; this dispenses any 3D specific knowledge.

Arrange layers, create groups, setup transparency, create alternative views of the same location and switch between them simply by clicking a checkbox.
Create and visualise your own interactive presentation in 2D, 3D and consult interactively attributes of vector data.

Interactive analysis

VirtualGeo Studio makes data analysis simple and fast. Display interactive terrain profile or compute distance from along a path.
Create on-the-fly thematic maps from elevation data (e.g. colored relief, shaded reliefs, contour lines ...) or any kind of scalar information such as computation or measure results (e.g. item density, weather forecast, statistics, element dispersion ...). Customise the color map or choose a preset and switch between interpolated coloring and discrete classification, the resulting display is updated in real-time.

Edit native data

VirtualGeo Studio can also be used to directly edit your data.
On-the-fly-editing vector from native sources allows users to adapt and create new vectors. These modifications can be saved back in a standard format or directly performed toward a GIS database (PostGIS, SQLite etc.).
Raster and elevation model can also be edited through a dedicated plug-in.
